April 1994. 100 days. An immeasurable cost to the people of Rwanda and to all of humanity. This week, I reflect on the intensity of human suffering which took place 17 years ago and remains with the survivors now. I pray for peace for the survivors and I pray for peace for every corner of our world.
"Our Father, who art in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one."
