Notary Authentication Issues
A bit of frustration this week with VA authentications. Not our regular notary, but the one at our doctor's office has now had their seal rejected twice in our attempts to get notarization of our physicals. The first rejection letter from the VA Secretary of State Authentication office said that her number was wrong and in parenthesis it said middle initial can not be used, must spell out their middle name on file. I take part of the blame as I thought it meant that when they looked up her number, her name was on file with the middle initial spelled out. We let her know and waited a couple of weeks while she got new seals. We offered to assist in paying for the supplies but she said not to worry about. Finally last week we got back in to take care of it and now it ends up that there were two issues, her notary number was wrong also on her seals! So... we've asked our regular notary at my work if she could make a special trip tomorrow to get the doctor's signature notarized on our physicals. She was kind enough to agree to take a bit of time out of the day to help us with this... and we are so appreciative. We have about twenty documents she has notarized that all have come back from VA authentication with no problem!
