World Water Day!

 

It's World Water Day!  Some very smart, passionate people have gotten 100 bloggers from around the world to "donate" their blog space today as a call for action.  Each blogger (that's us) is asking just 10 of our readers (that's you) to donate just $20 to the Adventure Project's "Keep It Clean" Campaign.  

Did you know that 1/3 of all water handpumps installed in the last twenty years in developing countries are now broken?  

Did you know 4000 children die each day from causes related to lack of clean drinking water?

Your $20 donation will go toward the training and employment of water pump mechanics.  The goal is not to build more water pumps, but to keep already-built pumps working well for the people whose thirst they quench.  While communities get back their clean water, the mechanics gain dignity as they earn an income by saving thousands of lives with clean water!
