When You Say "Yes"

When you listen to God's plan for your life and say "yes,"  God....
...refines you in His ways
...inspires you to move in areas that have always meant something to Him, but now mean something big to you, too
...fills you with compassion
...makes you uncomfortable to stay in the place you once were
...triumphs over doubt and fear and every other feeling of intrepidation

and

...compels you to tell everyone else what He's doing in your life

When God calls you to do something unexpected, uncomfortable, unconventional, and unbelievable,
it's going to be something good.  You should stop thinking about it, praying about, worrying about it, or whatever else you can "do" and actually "DO" it.

While I'm not exactly sure of the specific details of how life will go for our family in the next year as we add another child, I know what's happened in my life already because we said "yes" to God's call to adopt and I am so hopeful and so excited for what's to come.
