Woo-Hoo!!

This was a very big weekend at the mailbox!! We finally got our finalized copy of our home study in the mail so that we can send it with our application (I-600A) for adoption to the USCIS.

In case you are wondering, the I-600A has the following purpose, as stated on their website:

"For adjudicating the qualifications of the applicant(s) as prospective adoptive parents. Filing this form will generally speed up the part of the processing relating to the qualifications of the prospective adoptive parent petitioner(s)"

Basically, after we submit this form (Monday), we'll be waiting for a "yes" from them in order to finish the paperwork needed for our dossier.

Also this weekend, we received the beautifully authenticated documents from Minnesota, Missouri, and North Carolina which we sent to each of the offices of the Secretary of State a few weeks ago.  They are ready to go for the dossier!

 Do you know more than you ever knew/could know/wanted to know about the adoption process yet?!

We are learning so much and loving the process.

Oh, and apparently the post office has been reading our blog.  They are trying to get back at us for previous slander on our blog related to their awesome service.  Did you know that if the post office rips your mail....very important mail...like your finalized copy of your home study...they put it in a plastic bag with a little note with a big "WE CARE" at the top and a long apology letter at the bottom.  Take a look at this:

 We care, too, Mr. Postman.  Please don't rip our documents :)
