Agreements and Training

When I got back in town from a business trip to Dallas on Friday we looked through the documents we were sent as part of the acceptance.  I was hoping that they would send everything we would need and all the instructions on starting the "paper chase" stage of our adoption.  However, it ends up that after the application comes the agreements, and then the paper chase.  So we are waiting again.  The email implied we should wait for further instruction before seriously starting the paper chase but that  we could start on the eight hour online "Hague" training course, so we finished that this weekend as well as sending in the agreements.  The training would have probably been more useful if we hadn't spend so much time researching before we made the decision to adopt and since then, but one thing that was cool was some of the video insights for this training organization featured a family we know went through our agency to adopt a girl from Ethiopia.  We also continue to get documents back... but haven't started sending them to the various secretary of states for certification yet.  Today we also scheduled our physicals for next month but are hoping to get the instructions on what information we need from them before we have to show up!  I think we will be prepared to hit the ground running when we get assigned to a family counselor, hopefully before the holidays.
