Muhazi!

We had a great walk around DC today in 50 degree weather.  I feel spring coming and may have even seem some buds on cherry trees?!

While in DC, we checked out Bourbon Coffee, which is a coffee shop with roots in Rwanda.  Jon and I both ordered a cup of Muhazi.  It was delicious--smooth and chocolatey.  Yum.  The place was really cool, too....lots of comfy chairs to relax in (which happened to all be taken...thus, we took our coffee to go) and beautiful handmade baskets and sewn goods for sale.

We also drove by the Rwandan embassy.  It's not far down the street from the Nicaraguan embassy.  While to most the embassies are just buildings with the national flags flying out front, to us they are representative of two places around the globe from one another in which people (children) live who have taken up residence in our hearts.  Just driving by makes us feel a little bit closer to there.
