Here!

We made it to Rwanda! We are trying to orient ourselves to the time and day...keeping sleep at bay until this evening. It is 9:15am on Saturday here, so we missed a night's sleep while flying. Good practice for the baby.

Flying in was unbelievable. So emotional. The countryside here is verdant, rolling hills cut with rich red roads. Driving here reminded us a lot of Puerta Cabeza...little in the way of signage and streets lined with packed-in random shops. Kigali has already impressed us with its clean streets and beautiful landscaping. Purple and bright pink flowering bushes lined the road to our hotel. The grounds here are also quite beautifully landscaped.

On the agenda for today: avoiding sleep, eating out with our group (there are five other families from our agency here with us), and falling into bed later.

Is this really happening?!?!
